Coolah Tops National Park

The Forest Road is the main road in the Park and runs for a distance of 30.2 kms from the Park entrance to the Breeza Lookout Picnic Area. The entrance to the Park is 32 kms from Coolah.

Notes:
1. The distance from Coolah to Shepherds Peak is 63.7 kms, ie approx 13/4 hours to 2 hours of travel.
2. The distance from Coolah to the Pinnacle is 41.7 kms.
3. Distance 2.3 km into the Park-150th Meridian Time Zone (Since 1884 the world has been divided into time zones. Generally time zones are one hour wide. Each place within the one time zone keeps the same time. In eastern Australia the standard time is that of the 150th Meridian. That puts us ten Hours ahead of Greenwich, in the U.K. Generally the meridian was down the Centre of the time zone.
4.There is no man-made racecourse in the Park. The racecourse referred to a  natural circular area where trees have not grown-thus resembling a racecourse.
